The Area Sales Manager will lead a sales team focused on promoting Siemens security systems for new construction across Florida, with emphasis on the Miami, Orlando, and Jacksonville markets. This onsite role in Miami requires approximately 25 percent travel to support business development and customer engagements.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed order intake and profit targets for the Miami, Orlando, and Jacksonville region.
- Recruit and onboard new sales talent to fill open positions.
- Promote team selling and expand existing relationships across divisions or geographic areas.
- Serve as a resource to the sales team regarding products, applications, and services; support the sales process through all phases, including turnover and implementation.
- Communicate goals, mentor to develop skills, lead performance, conduct appraisals, and coach sellers to assess customer needs and buying priorities.
- Review bids for accuracy to meet company and customer objectives; assist in setting margins, identifying resources, and evaluating future business; establish executive-level relationships with targeted contractors and customers.
- Network with field organization, headquarters, and other Siemens divisions to gain knowledge, share insights, develop sales forecasts, and contribute to targets.
- Assist the sales team in identifying market opportunities and craft strategies to amplify impact; participate in long-range planning and growth initiatives.
- Articulate and drive digitalization, remote services, and big data analytics; maintain industry contacts and participate in association functions.
- Travel overnight about 25 percent for training and business development.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
- 10+ years of sales experience in a related industry
- Technical proficiency in the commercial Integrated Security / Commercial Building Infrastructure Security sector
- Ability to interpret job specifications and drawings to coach sellers in developing winning strategies
- Working knowledge of contracting with tiers of contractors
- Strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; eligible for Siemens fleet vehicle program
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Management experience in the construction industry
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM

The Pay Range for This Position Is
The pay range for this position is USD 102,000 - 175,000 per year with a target incentive of 25% of base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
