Job Description

Based in Memphis, TN, this onsite Regional Sales Manager role offers the opportunity to shape sales strategy across the Mountain Region, manage key accounts, and drive growth to meet corporate goals. You will collaborate with inside sales, manufacturing reps, and customers while traveling regionally to support distributors and end users. The position emphasizes timely communication, CRM discipline, and a strong customer service focus.

As the Regional Sales Manager for the Mountain Region, you will develop and implement strategic sales plans, oversee sales activities, and cultivate relationships with current and prospective accounts to achieve targets. You will lead cross functional collaboration to deliver new product information, trainings, promotions, and timely sales reporting while maintaining high service levels.

The position requires travel within the Mountain Region and a hands on approach to supporting top accounts, active end user programs, and distributor networks.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed defined sales growth requirements and targeted sales category expectations on an ongoing basis.
  • Prospect top potential distributors and end users not currently doing business with Radians.
  • Maintain required admin tasks including CRM input, expenses, special pricing, key customer contact details, and competitive information.
  • Develop and implement strategies with inside sales to ensure execution of Incentive Plan Eligibility Requirements.
  • Execute plans to ensure top accounts are called on quarterly, all assigned accounts are called on in person three times per year, and a set level of end user activities occurs monthly.
  • Provide manufacturing reps and customers with new product information, training, promotions, discontinued product information, and timely sales volume reports by category.
  • Respond to customer calls and emails within 24 hours and return internal communications the same day.
  • Report critical customer and competitive information uncovered in the field to the VP of Sales or the President.
  • Attend regional, customer, and buying group shows on a case by case basis, managing setup, teardown, samples, and advance payments as required.
  • Coordinate price exception requests in the assigned territory with Product Management and submit such requests as Regional Manager.
  • Obtain approval before extending rebates, per President guidance.
  • Communicate customer product requirements and forecasts to Purchasing to maintain high service levels.
  • Complete expense reports weekly as defined by accounting.
  • Submit market assessments and customer requests for potential new products to Product Management with necessary details and criteria.
  • Handle ad hoc requests as they arise.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of region or territory sales experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Heavy customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication.
  • Strong territory account management abilities.
  • Prior territory safety products sales experience.
  • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
  • Residence within 40 miles of an airport within the region.
