Sales Development Program -Thermal Technical Sales
Job Description
Vertiv's Sales Development Program for Thermal Technical Sales trains recent graduates in foundational and advanced technical sales, starting as an Application Engineer and progressing toward a technical sales role.
Location: Delaware, OH onsite
Responsibilities
- Develop product expertise across Vertiv portfolio, including AC power, thermal solutions, and services
- Assist with approvals for customization of Vertiv products and solutions
- Engage in inbound and outbound calls to assess and discuss customer requirements
- Prepare and respond to Requests for Proposal from customers and prospects
- Collaborate regularly with Sales Leaders on strategy and progress
- Leverage sales tools such as product configurators, proposal development platforms, and MS Power BI
- Travel to Field Sales offices to support customer-facing meetings
- Partner with Sales Leaders focused on vertical markets such as Healthcare, Retail, Education, Finance, and Government
- Deliver presentations and training sessions to colleagues and Sales teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and the MS Office suite
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Solid problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a team and implement process improvements with measurable results
- Adaptable with a desire to learn and advance in the role
