Job Description
Join Redline Athletics Flemington as the Director of Business Development / General Manager to lead the launch of our new Flemington facility, drive member acquisition, and oversee daily operations onsite in Flemington, NJ. This full-time role offers a salary of $40,000-$50,000 per year, paid training, and clear opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the market entry for the Flemington site by driving sales efforts: generate leads, guide prospects through the funnel, host dynamic gym tours, and convert inquiries into members.
- Build and sustain relationships with community members, local sports teams, coaches, and youth organizations; manage client communications, participate in events, and serve as the Redline Athletics Flemington brand ambassador.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth opening and closing procedures, POS and membership administration, and an active social media presence to grow the local footprint.
- Maintain the new facility at a high standard, including daily and weekly cleaning tasks, equipment organization, and overall upkeep to provide a premium, welcoming environment.
- Partner with the Director of Sports Performance to recruit, onboard, train, and support coaching staff, ensuring alignment with the facility mission and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in membership sales, business development, and/or operational management, ideally within fitness, sports, or youth programs.
- Strong sports-related network in Northern New Jersey is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication with a commitment to timely responsiveness, transparency, and rapport-building.
- Disciplined work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Genuine passion for youth sports, athletic development, health, and human performance.
- Positive, professional demeanor that motivates athletes, staff, and clients.
- Proficiency with CRM software and social media platforms for business development.
- Languages: English; Spanish preferred.
- Onsite location: Flemington, NJ 08822 (commute required).
- Experience in sales is preferred (2 years).
