Sales Manager
Job Description
Legends Powersports is seeking a hands-on Sales Manager to steer the day-to-day operations of its Powersports Sales Department across three Pennsylvania dealerships. This leadership role focuses on guiding, coaching, and developing the sales team to drive profitability across units, accessories, F&I, and service integration while delivering a professional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate the sales staff to meet monthly and annual targets.
- Lead daily sales huddles, conduct weekly performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching sessions.
- Enforce dealership policies, sales processes, and brand standards.
- Maintain a positive, high-energy culture that promotes accountability and teamwork.
- Manage scheduling, time-off requests, and staffing levels to ensure full coverage.
- Oversee all sales activities, including lead management, quoting, follow-up, and closing.
- Ensure all salespeople follow the 9-Step Sales Process, FORMAT selling, and DX1 procedures.
- Monitor unit inventory, aging, and pricing strategies to maximize turns and profitability.
- Review and approve all deals prior to submission to Finance.
- Ensure accurate and compliant paperwork, including Bill of Sale, 4-Square, and trade documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized showroom with proper merchandising and unit presentation.
- Ensure every customer receives a professional, friendly, and informative experience.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and effectively.
- Oversee post-sale follow-up processes to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Promote cross-department introductions (Parts & Service) to strengthen long-term relationships.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance metrics.
- Monitor lead response times, follow-up actions, and CRM accuracy.
- Analyze sales trends, inventory needs, and market opportunities.
- Provide regular performance reports to the General Manager.
- Ensure compliance with OEM programs, incentives, and training requirements.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to maximize F&I penetration and product sales.
- Ensure proper accessory upselling and installation opportunities on every deal.
- Maintain gross profit standards on units, accessories, and trades.
- Approve discounts, exceptions, and special pricing within dealership guidelines.
- Oversee trade-in evaluations, NPA value checks, and appraisal accuracy.
- Coordinate dealer trades with sister stores and external dealerships.
- Ensure accurate VIN verification, unit readiness, and delivery scheduling.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales management experience, preferably in Powersports, automotive, or similar retail industries.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- High proficiency with CRM systems (DX1 preferred).
- Strong understanding of unit profitability, financing, and sales metrics.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and peak seasonal hours.
- Passion for Powersports and familiarity with major brands (Honda, Polaris, Yamaha, Kawasaki, KTM, etc.).

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to move or assist with units when necessary (with proper equipment).
Work Environment

- Frequent interaction with customers, vendors, and OEM representatives.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Location: Seneca, PA (onsite)
