Crane Sales Manager
Job Description
The Crane Sales Manager oversees the sale of overhead crane systems, hoists, and related lifting solutions, guiding the sales team, managing key customer relationships, and driving growth in revenue, profitability, and market share.

USD 100,000 - 140,000 per year
Experience and Education
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in relevant sales roles.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Guide and develop the crane sales team to provide industry leading solutions to clients.
- Create and implement strategic sales initiatives aimed at deeper market penetration.
- Set yearly sales targets, define performance metrics, and design territory plans.
- Ensure prompt replies to inquiries, requests for quotes, and service inquiries.
- Offer technical knowledge on overhead cranes, hoists, below the hook devices, runway systems, and automation options.
- Join Account Managers on customer site visits to assess needs, collect technical requirements, and present product recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure smooth project handoffs and execution.
- Participate in project kickoffs, clarifying customer expectations and technical needs.
- Identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, and new market opportunities.
- Develop plans to grow presence in targeted vertical markets.
- Review and authorize quotes, pricing approaches, territory plans, and customer proposals.
- Prepare monthly forecasts, activity reports, and pipeline updates.
- Monitor sales KPIs and team performance metrics.
- Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations.
- Maintain precise CRM records, customer contacts, and sales documentation.
- Ensure solutions comply with OSHA, ANSI, and CMAA safety standards.
- Promote a safety-first approach when assessing sites and proposing equipment.
- Support internal teams in conveying safe installation and usage practices.
- Have authority to halt production if quality issues, unsafe parts, or dangerous conditions are detected.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory personnel, potentially beyond stated responsibilities.
