Commercial Generator Estimator / Business Development Representative

Suncoast Power Solutions in Tampa is expanding its team with a Commercial Generator Estimator / Business Development Representative who will identify standby power opportunities, prepare precise estimates and proposals, and shepherd commercial generator projects from initial contact through to awarded contracts. This role blends hands-on technical estimating with proactive market development to support our growing standby power capabilities for commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue commercial standby generator opportunities
• Build relationships with general contractors, engineers, developers, and facility managers
• Review project plans and specifications for standby power systems
• Prepare estimates and proposals for commercial generator installations
• Develop project scope including generators, transfer switches, electrical infrastructure, and fuel systems
• Coordinate with internal teams and engineers to develop accurate project proposals
• Track opportunities and manage the estimating process through proposal submission
• Work with decision makers to move opportunities toward awarded projects

Requirements

• Recent experience estimating or selling commercial generator projects
• Strong knowledge of standby generator systems and associated electrical infrastructure
• Experience reviewing commercial electrical plans and specifications
• Ability to develop detailed project estimates and proposals
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable developing new opportunities in the market

Compensation
