Job Description

Action Development Corp, operating as Aaron's Rent to Own, is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Champaign store's sales, marketing and merchandising efforts. This role oversees inside and outside sales, drives revenue through lease-based transactions, and coordinates community marketing strategies to grow the business.

Responsibilities

Oversee the store's overall sales function including inside and outside sales
Sell merchandise to customers
Establish and meet weekly and monthly sales targets
Create new business opportunities by planning and executing local community marketing initiatives
Verify customer identity, collect payments, and secure signatures on lease agreements
Review and close lease agreements per General Manager guidance
Support product staging, warehouse maintenance and the Quality Assurance Center
Ensure showroom displays are properly merchandised
Keep the store warehouse organized and tidy
Monitor and maintain efficient operations of the Quality Assurance Center
Conduct routine service calls and handle product exchanges as required
Assist with product ordering, including planning for upcoming sales, events and stock balancing
Clean and certify returned merchandise in the Quality Assurance Center

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and government sectors
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads
Serve as a professional point of contact for prospective and existing clients
Build relationships with general contractors, IT directors, facilities managers, and consultants
Conduct needs assessments and recommend technology solutions tailored to client requirements
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop accurate proposals and estimates
Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and RFP responses

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience
3–7+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in low voltage, construction, or technology sectors
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Strong understanding of low voltage systems and construction processes
Experience working with contractors, architects, and IT stakeholders
Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
