Job Description

Based onsite at Park Hyatt Washington in Washington, DC, the Senior Sales Manager drives revenue by selling guestrooms, meeting spaces, and other Hyatt services to client groups. The role oversees account management, site inspections, proposal development, and leads sales and event activities within the hotel’s sales and catering team.

Responsibilities

  • Sell guestrooms, function spaces, and other Hyatt services to client groups
  • Manage client accounts
  • Conduct site inspections
  • Solicit and generate new business
  • Prepare and present effective proposals
  • Maintain well organized documentation and reports
  • Utilize Hyatt systems
  • Coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate
  • Participate in event planning meetings
  • May lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings
  • Collaborate as a team member with the sales and catering staff
  • Maintain close contact with the assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff
  • Solicit, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts with potential for business
  • Assume leadership functions and assist the Director of Sales & Marketing with projects

Requirements

  • A genuine desire to satisfy client needs in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • 3-5 years of hotel sales experience
  • Proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • Training in selling, negotiating, business writing and presentations

Salary range

USD 90,000 to 115,000 per year
