Tube Supply is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in the steel market, identify new opportunities, and forge strategic partnerships that advance customer value. This onsite role in Moore, Oklahoma, calls for a disciplined, relationship-focused professional who can lead customer initiatives, negotiate effectively, and manage multiple projects to drive revenue.

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth, uncover opportunities, and lead customer-centered initiatives that expand Tube Supply’s market presence. The role requires an energetic, strategic thinker who can cultivate relationships, close deals, and guide projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development plans aligned with Tube Supply growth targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers, assess their needs, and deliver tailored solutions
  • Research potential clients, market trends, and industry developments to spot opportunities
  • Generate leads and design strategies to pursue new business opportunities
  • Coordinate and participate in customer entertainment activities, including after-hours events such as dinners and networking engagements
  • Track progress and follow up on customer initiatives
  • Evaluate pricing feedback and related investment opportunities
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects and maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales to align on BD strategies and support the execution of customer projects
  • Assist Sales Management with pricing decisions, aging inventory, and inventory holds

Requirements

  • Upholds Tube Supply values of Excellence, Loyalty, and Fun
  • Minimum 8–10 years of steel sales experience, with at least 3 years working with Tube Supply’s product offerings
  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate education is a plus
  • Willingness to travel approximately 65% of the time (about 35% local, 30% non-local)
  • Ability to host customer events, including those scheduled on weekends
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Strong understanding of end user applications
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and internal teams
