Business Development Executive-Inclusive Banking-Executive Director
Job Description
This role places an Executive Director in charge of advancing inclusive banking business development in the Miami market, with emphasis on acquiring and sustaining relationships with local and diverse-owned businesses, while shaping strategy and pipeline growth across the Commercial Bank and Specialized Industries portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Drive the local market's new business origination strategy in close partnership with market leadership.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize top opportunities within the segment and collaborate with banking teams to execute a prioritized pipeline, with a focus on VIP names and key opportunities.
- Represent the firm in Inclusive Banking speaking engagements.
- Lead client and prospect pitches and presentations on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with Banking, Credit, Treasury and Service teams, as well as Asset Management, Private Bank and Investment Bank colleagues, to connect prospects with a broad range of product capabilities.
- Leverage COI relationships to enhance outreach and drive new client acquisition.
- Implement a strategic events program aimed at building new connections and strengthening the JPMorgan brand in the market.
- Monitor calling activity and community engagement across the market to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Flag client issues to Market Executives, the Region Manager, and the Head of Inclusive Banking as appropriate.
Requirements
- 8 to 10 plus years of business development or origination experience in commercial banking or related B2B financial services, with a proven record of acquiring new clients.
- Solid working knowledge of Commercial Banking solutions, with the ability to credibly discuss Credit and Treasury and coordinate with product partners as needed.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales goals, building and advancing a prioritized pipeline, and sustaining disciplined calling activity.
- High emotional intelligence and executive presence; capable of influencing and managing senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong business judgment and strategic thinking, coupled with disciplined execution in planning, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration across banking, product, and control partners to deliver coordinated client outcomes.
