Automotive Business Development Associate (BDC) Sales

Overview
The Automotive BDC Sales advisor will implement structured improvements to existing BDC workflows, coach the team on phone, text, and chat interactions, and develop scripts and cadences for both Sales and Service. The role emphasizes a text-first approach and leverages VinSolutions and Edmunds Car Code to create repeatable processes and meaningful accountability.
Responsibilities
- Assess current BDC workflows and establish a clear, actionable improvement plan
- Train and coach BDC representatives on phone, texting (priority), and chat (priority)
- Develop and update scripts, templates, and follow-up cadences for Sales and Service
- Increase speed-to-lead and contact rates across calls, texts, and chat
- Drive KPIs such as appointment set percentage, show percentage, and sales conversion (Sales)
- Implement accountability through KPI scorecards, audits, coaching sessions, and reporting
- Maintain CRM hygiene with accurate statuses, completed tasks, notes, outcomes, and consistent follow-up
- Collaborate with managers to sustain standards after training concludes
Requirements
- Auto dealership experience in a BDC/CRM environment is required
- Proven BDC experience (Sales, Service, or both) with measurable results
- Strong coaching abilities and a process-building mindset
- VinSolutions experience is required
- Car Code / chat engagement experience required
- Texting-first approach with templates, tone, speed, and follow-through
- Excel proficiency for tracking, KPI reporting, and basic formulas
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
- Some weeks may require 40+ hours based on workload

- Pay: USD 45,000.00 - 65,913.66 per year
- Work Location: South Holland, IL (onsite) — In person
Preferred
- Experience improving both Sales BDC performance within the same store
- Spanish language skills are a plus
